Senator still backing Bendigo water supply plan

Central Victorian Liberal Senator Michael Ronaldson has reaffirmed his support for a pipe from the Goulburn system to Lake Eppalock to boost water supplies for Bendigo. Tenders were let last week for the supply of pipes for the $100 million project. Senator Ronaldson says he supports the pipeline, but is against extending it to Ballarat. He says he believes the Bendigo project meets the National Water Commission guidelines for federal funding.
